I think marijuana should be dropped to Schedule II by the federal government. However, I also think the structure of the schedule has to change to allow for federal funding for scientific research.
Instead of having just Schedule I & Schedule II, where the first doesn't allow research and medical prescriptions but the second one does, there should be an inbetween phase at the very least, which would be a Schedule designated for permissions for research.
That way, evidence can be collected and creativity is allowed to flourish. But I'm confused too, because there has been federal funding, which is why we allow Marinol right? So I guess I need to do more research and figure out what the rules are.
