Italians & Mafia

You know what I realized today? The Italians, some who may still be quasi-mafia or know how to "do it" even if they don't because they'd get caught...Well, these Italian mafias are not "all together".

I remember someone telling me different groups usually work together for hot shit or underground or black market dealings. But then when a conflict comes up, they take sides.

But I sort of thought all the ethnic groups might stick together, but they don't. There are some Italians who really, really, don't like the other Italian group, for whatever reason, or they'll side with someone who captures their interest or heart.

And of course, most are not in mafias. But for some reason, this thought occured to me. I guess when I saw this van passing by, a grey or neutral colored van with some guys in it who looked Italian. The idea just sprang up.

I have people, mafia and non-mafia, and government straight arrows, who really are for me. But they really DO believe in me, so they know they even have to be careful.

I know it sounds odd, but the people who sort of matter to me, know. I shouldn't say that...there are a LOT of people who will never be in the know, and I love them all the same. It is better sometimes, not to know too much.

On that note, one of my favorite movies is the one with Bill Murray called "The Man Who Knew Too Much." One of my favorite parts is when he thinks he's just acting in a dinner theatre and he's laughing at the guy holding up a knife to his face. And when he starts talking about slicing people up or something and his "girlfriend" tells him, "You're a real sick-o." And the end, when he's jumping in doing the Russian egg dance. But that last scene was funniest when it was first viewed.
