The Difference Between Old Money & The Nouveau Riche

What my friend and I discussed, whom I just talked to this morning, is how sometimes old money people are more tolerable than the nouveau riche.

There are snobs of every class, but sometimes, old money is comfortable with themselves and doesn't feel the need to put down the poor or less fortunate. They may be stuck in a class or circle of friends, but sometimes, already being there--stuck, prevents the over-eager social climbing that is seen by the nouveau riche.
