Assault Over Pad Thai (Ramayana)

I ordered a #21 and got my ass kicked for it. Well, they tried to kick my ass and I had to leave and get someone else to take care of it.

I have gone to this Thai restaurant at least a half dozen times. I always sit against the same wall, and at the same part of the restaurant. I get the Tom Kah (coconut soup) and I have always paid in cash in full. Maybe once or twice I've ordered an entre too, and one time I had a glass of wine but that was once.

So I went there, to have one small bowl of Tom Kah and it turned into this HUGE event.

I will not be going back!

I tried to order the Tom Kah at my table and this woman I know from the bookstore started talking very loudly and horrifically on her cell, making it clear SHE reads my blog: "DO I HAVE TO KIDNAP YOU? DO YOU NEED TO BE KIDNAPPED? SHOULD I PERFORM A FEW MURDERS FOR IT?"

Heinous. On and on and referencing my blog and it made me think about my son and so it was just plain offensive and rude. So I asked to move to another table and then I was seated at a table with artwork of Ramayana over it.

I noticed a new car come in, filled with people and 1 from California, and I saw him nodding off to this terrible woman who was yelling out about kidnapping and thought it was great. She knew what she was doing because she used some other girl as her lackey, making her drive HER car in case I got plates. But this woman is new to the bookstore and has had some kind of great interest in me. I am never taking another coffee "sample" from HER again.

So, this group comes in nodding off to the kidnapping convo woman and I am sitting there under the portrait of the good wife or pure wife with this man trying to get to her below, and he's trapped or something.

So I am sitting there and had the Tom Kah which was good, as usual. Then I decided, as I was reading about the Russian Spy network, and keeping my eye on this woman with her whole "kidnapping" convo, to order something else. So I was told, by the waitress, to order the Pad Thai, #21. I did, and it didn't taste right. I've had Pad Thai MANY times in my life, and this wasn't a true Pad Thai, and not only that, it tasted like cigarette ashes were tossed in or something. I wasn't sure, but I felt all the radars going off, telling me to NOT eat it and something wasn't right with it.

So I told the waitress and they offered me another bowl of free soup but I didn't want it.

I just wanted to go.

So the table behind me had ordered Pad Thai and THEY started telling the woman THEIR Pad Thai wasn't "right" and they'd had it before and there was something wrong with theirs.

So the woman was really pushy, telling them they had to eat it too, when they had only had one very small bite and I'd had about 2-3.

I wanted to pay for just the soup but she was trying to force me to take everything. So then I tried to tell her I would be back (with correct change) for paying for the one item. The waitress RAMMED me into the glass door (where I now have a mark on my wrist on the left arm) and tried to keep me from leaving. It was unbelievable.

I left, and called police to let them know I did NOT steal and was just getting correct change, and they said okay and then I was AFRAID to go there so I paid someone to go over and pay FOR ME. And he did.
