music...good note

On a good note, I'm hearing this Monserrate Caballe and she is SO good! I absolutely love "Casta ___" whatever. I really love, love, this "Hijo de la Luna" song too, as terrible as it is, Oh! be still my heart. So incredibly beautiful and delicate. I love it. From the little bells in the background to the simple piano to her gorgeous voice. I like her in that song and her interpretation reminds me of Kiri te Kanawa in how nuanced she can be. I think they're both mezzos too? and I like a very good mezzo. Wait, I think Kiri is higher than mezzo...how does it go? I don't remember. Now hearing "Barcelona" and it makes me think of Les Mis for some reason. I listened to portishead and bloc party tonight and when I listened to My Lagan Love, every single time, I get Diana's brothers' face. At the very opening of that song but I must have an active imagination. I just see his headshot sort of thing. But right at the start and then nothing through the rest of the song. Oh, this time, I thought about some Irish I saw about today and thanks! you guys! because you really do care! and I also thought about the Irish and what they're going through with abuse stuff and I hope it brings them together more closely. I also listened to "The Clash" "should i stay or should i go". Oh, Monserrat does a beautiful job of "mio babbino caro"

I love the end, her expression after she is given a bottle of perfume and flowers. I have never seen that before, perfume, and the way she's holding it cracks me up but it's a good idea, I'm sure, if it's very good perfume. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxZSP1Dc78Q&a=_lGARJdG75Q&playnext_from=ML
