My Watercolor Sketch

lots of swirls today. another quick one. but i'm done. got a little bit of expression out. it's cheap $4 paint and computer paper but sometimes it just feels good to paint. i did this one to black boys on mopeds. i guess the one with the red swirals was to the "make me a channel of peace" and then a couple others. they're busy and not really my style but i just did a little bit with 30 minutes that i had.



I don't know how to work on the first one I did, I want to work on something but i don't know what. the next one i did to sinead o'connor's three babies and then black boys on mopeds. my tulips, falling out like lilies, as inspiration with a black moon. first i made a red swirl, just to the music but no plan. took about 5-10 mins.




i decided to take a break and paint with my son's cheap watercolors. I had no thought or plan in mind but went with what mood guided me. first, I got this sort of arabic or eastern design and then i was adding an interpretation of lily of the valley and then saw a harp and then it turned into a keyhole and then i didn't know what to do with the left corner so painted lily of the v upside down and then right up which makes it look like hearts and then roses but i'm terrible at roses--they look like toll painting. so it's a mess and i'm much better with oils i think. i suck at watercolor and i think it's the most difficult medium but it's something. i thought i'd photograph my process bc at some point i always overdo it and ruin it all.
