More Corruption With Unemployment Offices? & Stolen Paystub

It gets better and better. And better!

I wrote about how I had a couple of pay stubs from work and then I had sent a request to my former boss to just send in a handwritten statement of my hours and wages, if he would, and he did.

However, two weeks ago, Washington State employment services told me about the receipt of this fax, and then a couple days later, someone was trying to deny that anything was sent in at all.

It got very weird. I said, "What do you mean?" I said it was documented Bob sent in a statement, so why were they trying to claim he never did now? They tried to say, oh, well, we thought he sent YOU something. I said, "No, your offices received a statement from him, and this is what I was told."

So today I was told that statement was "sent back". I had been asking for a copy of it and WA said, "We don't have it, it was sent back."

I said, "Why would you SEND BACK a faxed document that should have been kept in a file?" I was told, "We can't use it, so he has to send it to D.C." I said, "Your department, in WA, is the one which is supposedly doing the 'interstate investigation' and you're telling me it's proper, in an 'investigation' to RETURN items of evidence which should have at least been copied and stored?"

I thought it was very odd how I was told they finally got something from Bob, and then they tried to turn around and say there was no record anymore, and I kept being prompted to "turn in a paystub!"

I said, "You just got a copy of my hours and wages and that's sufficient--you don't need a paystub."

So THEN...Guess what I discovered? Theft! Someone stole one of the paystubs I had, out of my bag! I had one, just one, in one of my bags. After it was stolen, people at the state employment offices were telling me they didn't know if they ever got my wages and hours from Bob and that they send it "back".

Today, this unemployment guy said, "I didn't know you had paystubs." I said, "Yes, people knew and I said I did but some were in storage and I couldn't get access right now and then I had a few others on me (which I put in different places)" So he says, "All we need is one paystub to verify employment." I said, "All you needed was verification from my employer, and you got it, and then you SENT IT BACK."

So I was told they had to give that statement to D.C. but it would be faster if I gave them a paystub. I decided no, it is just as fast to get a statement to D.C. and I want to see what someone tries to do next.

The story changed, with Washington state unemployment, after one of my paystubs was recently stolen out of my bag. All of a sudden, the statement of wages and hours was also then sent back. I think this might be a little strange.

So, my opinion is that Bob is a good guy and was trying to help me, and yet I want to see what these state workers are trying to pull next.

WHY would someone from this house go into my bag (probably when I was on a walk with the dog and left it behind) and STEAL that paystub?

2. In addition, I was told I had only 10 days to try to claim for back claims, and this information was sent to my lawyer's office. My lawyer's people RETURNED all of my mail to sender, after they knew I was sending things there and had told my attorney I needed to use this address and how it related to my position of getting on my feet and being able to provide for my son.

So now I have to receive this paperwork at another address, and try to get it in on time.

3. I had someone tell me maybe D.C. laws are different, and some employers don't have to pay unemployment at all. He said the law in Washington is that you have to pay for unemployment, but maybe D.C. is different. So then I was thinking, well, if they didn't pay unemployment, what's the point of my trying to file claims at all, if they don't have to pay. But then today, he said no, he didn't say this, and he said all employers have to pay unemployment. So if that's the case, then I'm entitled to unemployment and people have really been working overtime to keep me from getting any kind of honest money.

People don't want me to get unemployment because they want to force me out of this benefit and refuse to give me work, and try to force me onto disability when I'm not disabled, but they want to say so.

(break. I need some red bull. I have so many things to write about today)
