This isn't a comment about John Edwards, but anyone and everyone who makes sex tapes. Why in the world would anyone ever make a sex tape? Why??? I do not understand this at all.
Making a sex tape is as good as letting the whole world see it. Anyone could get their hands on it, and I can't believe how many famous people or politicians and government people make these tapes.
I don't care if you've been married for 50 years, or at least for me, even if I'd been married for 50 years and lived on some remote island and had no enemies or position worth mentioning, I still wouldn't make a sex tape.
I think, well, is the need to make a sex tape between partners evidence of a lack of imagination? I seriously think maybe this is it, because it seems no one even goes so far as to imagine that tape could end up in other hands, or be used by one once loved as blackmail, or to just humiliate someone.
I swear, my eyes are left blinking, blinking, forever, when I think about this. Every time a new "sex tape" pops up, I'm in shock.
MAYBE, maybe, I would allow a sex tape if I were on a deserted island with no enemies and yet still, before agreeing to it, I would say we also agree to immediately destroy it and I would have a hammer and a small torch nearby. I really can't imagine even going so far as to film to begin with.
I mean, here is a mistress, of a Presidential candidate, casually throwing a tape like that away, and he's even willing to let it remain in her hands to begin with? That's a nice statement of trust, but also one of utter stupidity, to think no one will ever get that, if it wasn't immediately destroyed.
People who are filmed without their knowledge or consent, should sue to the fullest extent of the law, and get the person(s) responsible locked up.
But as for the rest, if you're going to make a sex tape, you may as well declare to one another, that you're finally ready "to go public" with your relationship.

http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/02/04/baby.dna.government/index.html
I read this article, about how your baby's DNA is obtained and stored, and most parents don't even know about it. Only two states have forms which allow for automatic destruction of the DNA.
When did this happen? When did this slide by unnoticed to all the parents? I thought you had to sign a form if you're consenting to testing of certain byproducts but it sounds like the DNA stuff is automatic and really, that's a total invasion of privacy and no one's business. I cannot believe it's allowed.
I thought this was a very good article. The problem is that is really outlines a problem and concern and yet what can parents even do about it? It would have to be that they all organize together to outlaw this or get a bill passed forbidding this be done without a parent's consent.
I read this and thought about the movie "Gattica".

Sad about the lost language. I was confused about Gaelic even, but imagine a language going extinct these days. I know Wycliff Translators, missionaries, will go out and try to give some of the people who still don't have a written language, and written language. It's too bad they didn't know about this woman.

I saw some t.v. news about Eric Holden and boy, was everyone around him disgruntled. But all the "raps" he was getting, I don't know that they're warranted. It sounds like he's pro civil rights and we need more of that, even if it's just a case here and there, but I think more could be done for regular U.S. citizens' civil rights actually. I might write to Eric myself pretty soon.

I guess there's high threat but haven't read this article yet. Will have to read soon.
Haven't read any royalty news for over a week. A week and a half maybe. Just giving it a break.
I like the clip from CNN today about the women posing for pets. I read that, and thought "what? weird" but it's for the cause of pets. The married man cracks me up, in his zeal. Seeing her photo and then his response made me laugh out loud.
