The Making Of A Bitch

What it is that causes one woman who might otherwise be pleasant to another woman, tranform into the newest resident bitch?

In the space of two brief meetings, a woman who was otherwise innocuous and serene, acted jealous of me and then turned into a bitch before my very eyes.

I decided the transformation occurs when someone who is insecure in some way, maybe slightly unconsciously jealous or protective of her "territory" decides that she will be able to lift herself and her own spirits by being condescending to the new woman who, she must feel, is a threat in some way.

She acted insecure first, and then she felt she needed to tell me how to run my personal affairs. She went out of her way to talk down to me, as if I was 11 years old and needed a mommy.

I hope she isn't one of those women who becomes a mother and then starts acting like she thinks she's everyone's mother.

At any rate, she was pleasant enough at first and then almost immediately I saw her changing. I, for one, stood up for myself and said it was really none of her business how I ran my affairs and her response just confirmed what it was about.

Her man.

I can read intelligence in others in about 5 minutes flat, and I can read insecurities and jealousy, and the source, in the same way.

Why would she feel insecure about me? I haven't understood why any woman does. I don't have anything that's more important or special and I'm not prettier than most of them anyway. I think some women just like to snub and hate other women.
