Before I left with my son, CPS called and it was the same old kind of complaint. There was no actual allegation other than that they were claiming they felt my son was "at risk" because they claimed I was mentally ill. It was a general allegation, and maybe "drug seeking" was thrown in too, I don't know. There was no accusation that my son HAD been harmed by me, but was "at risk".
This, from the same group that made allegations which had been dismissed. I believe this time it came from Wenatchee Valley Medical, which had been the clinic to refer me to Chelan clinic and kicked me and my son out. They also made their claim to CPS, after I complained one of their doctors had not examined my son's dermatological condition properly, and wouldn't give another referral, even though they didn't have an alternate explanation for my son's skin issue.
Wenatchee CPS said they would like to visit my home and that if I didn't agree they'd have to get a court order. I said it was fine for them to come in.
It was a mess, cluttered, but it was NOT filthy, and Wenatchee CPS was never actually in the house, even after I left from Canada. According to my grandfather, they stood outside.
I had been extremely ill and fatigued and in severe pain. My son and the cat were ALSO not well. Sometimes the cat couldn't even make it to the litterbox half of the time. They cat was acting wild and my son was irritable as well, and I was too.
So I called my aunt Holly Avila, and since she enjoys cleaning so much, asked her if she would help me tidy up the house before CPS came. She refused. She yelled at me and said that after the way I'd treated my mother, she wasn't doing anything for me. I told Granny and then called Holly again and Holly said she was "working" and too busy. Really, she just didn't want to help.
Not one person in my family ever did ANYTHING for me OR MY SON as long as we lived in the area. No one sent my son a birthday card, or called, or sent a gift, or asked to have a playdate. I took my son to play with my cousin's son, who was the same age, and she noted my son's speech and was worried her son was not talking yet. This was before my son's speech turned into gibberish and he could no longer articulate words.
Aside from pleasant visits with Rani, my cousin, and getting our kids together, the family left us out of the loop. I had to beg my own parents to come over for my son's first birthday. They didn't want to "miss work" and said it was "too expensive" (the gas to drive). I threw a fit, and they came. But that was it.
No one cared about my son until all of a sudden, the state removed him from my care. Then they acted like they were so thoughtful, all of a sudden.
CPS called to come over when I was in the middle of having a migraine and I told them I was going to my grandparents because I was having migraine (which no one in the town was taking responsibility for treating) and getting help from my grandparents.
CPS asked if they could come out to the house at Granny's, and I said yes. So I was ill, and my son wasn't feeling well either. Not only did I have migraine, my son had a half day of writhing and arching his back in pain, and I got him up from a nap just so CPS could "see him". So we invited CPS to come IN, but THEY refused. They said they just wanted to have a look and saw that he was well and seemed fine (which is NOT what they wrote in their elaborate deceiptful "allegation" which they exaggerated to convince Canada). So, CPS had a full invitation from all of us to come in and interact with my son and they turned it down.
They said they'd talk to me later after my migraine period was over.
I believe they came out to Granny's house after first coming out to my house in the orchard. I was taking my son sledding outside in the snow and pulling him around on a tobagon when two women from CPS approached. All they asked about was medical stuff, like, "Is your back broken?" and "Why do you think your back is broken?" and medical questions. They left after seeing we were both happy and fine. My son was having fun with his mother, who wasn't indoors watching soaps, but was tugging her son along in the snow and down a small slope. And yes, I was on my prescription of narcotics, because it wouldn't have been possible without them. And there were brief periods where my son and I felt fine as well. Most of the health problems were at night.
Then they came to my grandparents house and left after seeing we were well. They said they'd just like to take a look around inside the house, and I agreed.
So they were going to come over but I asked if anyone in my family could help me tidy up, and no one would.
I had already told them how serious the allegations were getting and that they were not giving up. My family wouldn't believe me, and didn't listen to me.
With ZERO support, and knowing it would only continue, and knowing we were sick and not getting diagnostics, and knowing something was happening to us that was from an external source, and knowing they would keep trying to get me admitted to a "psych ward", I did what ANY normal, logical, person with a head on their shoulders would do.
I had been told it was legal for me to leave the country, and so, although I didn't have much money, I went in faith. Even if no one else believed in me, I loved and cared about my son and I believed in myself, and KNEW what was going on wasn't right. I had no reason to stay besides, with zero support. It had all been downhill with my family anyway, and never very good to start with and all my old friends from high school know that much.
CPS didn't ask me to do drug testing first. They didn't ask me to go to counseling or get an order. I had invited them to come supervise and watch me with my son and they didn't. I invited them into my grandparents house and they didn't come in. CPS, in NO way, "exhausted" all remedies before taking the extreme and drastic and traumatic step of removing my son with ZERO evidence of ANY harm. They had nothing. Even after going out to the house, after we left, they didn't even go INSIDE! They saw some garbage outside of the house and made a big deal about that, and claimed it "stinks". Garbage usually does stink.
There were no grounds for what they did, and the law is that other remedies are OFFERED and then exhausted first. This was NOT DONE.
Not only that, CPS headquarters in Olympia told me, given my exact scenario, that it was LEGAL to leave the country.
So, I took my son, which was my lawful right, and I left.
