For The Irish

Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day.

I have seen some of the headlines about abuse reports in Ireland and haven't clicked on any of them, because I already understand a little bit. But I am hopeful that this will bring people together more there, and that it will spark a human sympathy and compassion between the Ps and the Cs and whatever the real politics are.

I think it is good some feel comfortable coming out with it because it reveals a willingness to trust that by speaking up they will not be mocked, and their faith, whatever it is, either, but that they do this to protect other kids. So I think God smiles upon that.

It doesn't have anything to do with religion. It has to do with always being the first to fight, die, and starve. Don't assume everything is about religion.

thanks for writing. i know it is a lot of politics and territorial in many ways, but i do think it has something to do with religion.

for one thing, the celts and druids had certain religions originally which were mystical and deemed "pagan" and therefore, it was decided it was okay to exterminate and try to destroy the culture. then, i guess, i don't know what happened...catholicism? until luther or something? i'm not sure. how embarrassing bc i don't even think i know.

so christian and then it must have split into groups of protestant or catholic around the time of _______
when there was some war for land and in the name of religion.

a lot of things are about religion still. i think it is sometimes used to persuade people to a certain side. for example, the real issue might not be religious at all, but to gain strength, add religion and God into the mix and it gets more people inspired to fight for a certain cause.

that's my humble opinion, but i don't know very much yet.

it was nice of you to write.
