I had a lucky guess first thing this morning, with a child and an object (association) and then also yesterday which I didn't write down but knew was cool.
Yesterday, different people greet me with "hello" "hi" "how are you doing" "good morning" and a number of things. A variety. But yesterday this man approached me and I knew he was going to say "good morning" in particular. It wasn't coincidence. It was more like a rarity of knowing absolutely what he was going to say before he said it and then he did!
Then this morning the more cool thing was that I had my old jeans and nothing new to wear, literally and found a shirt in the dirty pile but it didn't look dirty, after someone said I could maybe wear a coule of things. So I asked about wearing the shirt, which was a deep purple and flowing and had a silver tie on it. It had a deep v-neck, too low, so I thought I could use my silver safety pin to hold it together at the top and affix my peacock feather (which has hues of blue to go with jeans) and this black bird feather, which was on the counter and which I noticed this morning first thing.
I liked how the black bird feather and peacock feather pretty much covered the gap and then my chain necklace outlined the v of the neckline but the pendant hidden and then I did have the ties around to the back but decided to bring them forward at the cafe and have them descend asymetrically from the feathers bc of the silver toggles at the end.
Then I put on black flip flops to tie in the black.
Put my hair up messy and then painted my toenails this shimmery magenta color.
I didn't want to carry all my bags around but don't have safe location so one is navy blue and white and the other one is black and I realized they go together fine bc the black ties in and the navy blue accents too. Would still go without but can't.
So anyway, this is how and why I used the feathers. The peacock bag had been on my bag but I put it on my neckline with the black bird feather.
Here is the strange part...When I picked up the feather I wondered who had found it or who it belonged to. And this girl came to mind.
Then, I put it on and was outside and she woke up and came outside and said, "Hey, that's the black bird feather! I found it!" and I said, "Do you know what, I actually thought it might have been from you. Was it the one on the counter by the fridge?" and she said no and then I described the location better and she said yes it was. I told I hadn't known for sure but she had come to mind and where did she find it? She said she found it in the yard and picked it up. So then I asked if it was okay to wear it and she said yes and I said I'd think about her and her siblings today.
So for me the really strange thing was that I honestly had her come to mind. It could have been a little boy and then someone picked it up and put it on the counter, or found by someone else and set down, but I somehow had her face come to my mind when I picked it up. Like one of those psychic detectives!!!! (low level I am! cough).
I had assumed it was a crow feather and she called it black bird. So since I don't knw what kind of black bird, I will call it a black bird feather too. I then thought about the Beatles song "Blackbird" later.
I say this and then the crows started cawing for the first time this morning, right across from me.
Wearing feathers on my clothing is a first for me. I had them on my bag so it was more like on an accessory but it feels more symbolic in a way, to have them on clothing. I looked and thought, "too dramatic?" but it looked okay and worked.
