Hallelujah

This morning and last night I listened to "Hallelujah" on repeat. I heard it first at work. It sounded so familiar, I don't know why. I'd thought it must be an old church hymn I'd sung when I was younger. But it's not. I guess it was originally written by Leonard Cohen and then I heard the Jeff Buckley version, which I think I like better.

Very beautiful. I liked the sound, and then when I paid attention to the lyrics, it made me cry. Not a lot of songs do. The lyrics are incredible.

Moving on to "Fields of Gold" and "Over the Rainbow" by Eva Cassidy, and then "Moonriver" by Frank Sinatra and then the version by Audrey Hepburn.
