This is the typical response I got while in D.C. But I am having an extraordinarily difficult time finding a job in this Wenatchee area. No one will hire me. I need someone from out of the area to headhunt me and give me a sales job or something. I've put out applications for even menial work in Wenatchee and no bites. In D.C. I didn't have this problem. I think it's odd I can make it on the East Coast in a cut-throat town, but not in the po-dunk town of Wenatchee... This is a recent mail I received while trying to reconnect with old contacts. I was too late:

Good afternoon Cam:
I hope this message finds you well.
I can’t begin to tell you how surprised I was to see an e-mail from you. How could I ever forget you. As you know I was quite impressed with you while visiting with you in the District. You are a very intelligent young lady. I was hoping you would contact us, however I gave up and hired an assistant a few weeks ago.
So I see you are back in Wenatchee. I think I told you I grew up in Washington. It is a beautiful state. When did you leave the District? I have been spending a lot of time there. I was planning on stopping in the Post pub in February when I was there and see what became of you but I figured you thought we were weird or something because I never heard from you.
Anyway, I know you will find something as you are an intelligent charming individual.
With best regards,
