After all my lucky guesses, I went out dancing. The last guy I was making good guesses with, who had the porcelain dolls that belonged to his daughter, bought my drinks and appetizer and we stayed there and I danced. He didn't feel like dancing so I just got out on the floor with everyone else. I even pulled a few more people onto the floor with me. Everyone was dancing and it was a lot of fun. I felt a little sad when a Shakira song came on but I enjoyed dancing to it: the "never really knew she could dance like this/makes a man want to sing Spanish" one...Ha! really tuned into the "CIA, colombians and haitians,...it's a musical transaction part." My good god, if people only knew.
This one guy who didn't recognize me, I guess, from my former "term" in Wenatchee, asked for my number and said he had never had this happen before, where he couldn't take his eyes off of someone dancing (I won't give clues to his identity). I should give a little credit to Colombians for maybe a couple of new moves, but no, really, no one even tried to teach me salsa or merengue or tango...well, except Eduardo. I liked dancing with him, he was fun. I guess even the Colombians knew you can't always teach someone how to dance...you either feel it or you don't and everyone has got their own style. The most important part, I think, is to be uninhibited because then others relax and have more fun too.
There were a lot of military men there. For the ratio at least. It's always the military men who go for me. It used to be cops. They'd try to pulll me over and go...whoooaaaahhh! hey! can I have your number? but that was when I was so young and hot, like Alvaro said, HOT. sort of was, when i was 18. you should have seen my legs. I had amazing, amazing, legs.
I am thin but I guess I should work out.
One of my favorite songs to dance to was "pour some sugar on mheaayh." I can't dance to most rock n roll, but I can dance to that one. The rest was danceable r&b. I liked dancing to stefani's "I ain't no hollah back girl!" and that "spin me round round right round" song came on about 3 times. oh and the "big butt" song came on and made me think about W. at the pizza parlor a long time ago.
There were some fun people there to dance with. It seemed like everyone was having a good time.
