Getting Singing Gigs

Okay, my other accomplishment of the day is that I started making calls for singing gigs.

I got one contact already who is doing something independent (heavy metal needs female back-up. lol, but okay...) but who also said he could hook me up with pop wedding singer jobs to pay the bills. Which is totally on the low end of the food chain and not creative at all, but it gets me out there again and practicing public entertainment, even if it's Madonna covers. Basically, an excuse to warm up my vocal chords, and he says he'd go with me and could get me a job right away that would pay well.

SO, a step in the right or wrong or right or who knows where the heck I'm going direction.

I just called another guy, and he does rock, classic rock, and blues, and what I honed in on was the blues. I would most like to do this style, of the three. If we're doing mainly covers, give me some good blues, Lady Sings The Blues, stuff. They're good guitarists he says, and so-so front singers, so I may be a good fit.

I tried calling more numbers, but the phone isn't so good. So I have to use a cell,and will do it later tonight when most people are home from work.
