Tonight my housemates brought back a bunch of black cable wire that was frayed with the copper showing, and these glass caps that go on telephone or electricity poles to keep the electricity from jumping.
Which brings to mind another possibility of what could have caused some things which occurred at the house, though more unlikely. The computer hacking and telephone stuff along with affectation of toys that had batteries, is odd by itself, so it says anything is possible. But, there were also a bunch of old electrical and telephone wires which criss-crossed over the house, very close. Two different poles and intersecting lines and some hung very low over the house.
When I came back from Canada I asked if a new pole had been put up because one of the poles looked newer. One family member said yes and the other said no. I don't know whether it would make a difference or not.
