Hello Mr. Bowers,

I am writing with regard to your store employee "Erin" who, I believe,
is the manager for U.S. Bank.

In the past, at your bank, your tellers asked me, when I was walking
in, and without making a bank appointment first, if I would like to
open a banking account.

I have said no, some other time.

Yesterday, I walked in and asked to open a checking account and I was
told I was not allowed to open a checking account yesterday. I was
told it was "appointment-only" which is not the case, because I was
then told to sit down and someone would be with me.

Erin came over and told me they refused to open a checking account for
me on that day. There was no one else in the bank at that time.

I called today to see if someone was available and Erin answered the
phone and said yes, would I like to open an account in 10-15 minutes?
I said, how about a half hour? and she said okay. Then she said,
"Could I have your name please?" and I said, "Cameo Garrett" and she
then said, "You have to make an appointment and some other day will
have to work for you."

I said I didn't want to open an account on another day, and that I
asked to open an account yesterday and was refused and then I called
to make an appointment today and it was fine until I gave my gave my
name, so why was I being told not today, but tomorrow?"

At that point I calmly asked for the bank supervisors name and she
said it was you.

I would like to know what the corporate address is for U.S. Bank and I
would also like to file a formal complaint against Erin, for
discriminatory practices at your bank.

Thank You,

Hi Brian,

I don't mind speaking with you, however, at this point I wish to make
a formal written complaint with U.S. Bank. I will need the address
for where to send this.

My other immediate concern, is that the next time I go to U.S. Bank,
for any reason, I am not there when Erin is there until this is looked
into further.

I feel more comfortable putting the details of the complaint and
incidence in writing.

Could you tell me what time I might be able to go to this local bank
when another manager is present?

Thanks!

Brian,

I have never met you before and you have never said this to me. No
one from this branch has ever said anything of the sort and you may
check all of your video files to confirm this.

You have mistaken me for someone else.

Please do check your video files and I look forward to business in the
future. I am sure you will find you are thinking of someone else, but
please let me know once you've checked your records!

Thank you, and thank you for providing the information necessary for a
written complaint.

Mrs. Garrett,
I am not mistaking you for someone else and you will have to use a different branch of US Bank if you choose or need to do business with us.

Mr. Bowers,

Yes, you do have me mistaken with someone else because you just
claimed to have told me not to go to your bank and I cashed a check
there 2 days ago.

I have cashed all of my checks with your bank and your tellers have
asked me to open an account there more than once.

On the most recent occasion I was there, it was confirmed that I would
be returning to open a checking account next, after the fee of $5 was
removed from the cash fee, in anticipation of my checking account.

So yes, I am positive you have mistaken me for someone else, and no,
not one person has told me not to go your bank in the past.

Thank your for your quick reply and I appreciate your most recent
offer of a telephone conversation as well.

Cameo L. Garrett
